The Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, today held a bilateral meeting with the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Slovenia, Valentin Hajdinjak, in Brdo, Slovenia.
At the meeting, the support of the Republic of Slovenia for the Republic of Kosovo on its path toward membership in the European Union and NATO was emphasized.
Minister Maqedonci informed his Slovenian counterpart about the achievements of the Republic of Kosovo in the field of defense, including the enhancement of the capacities of the Kosovo Security Force, as well as the objective of developing the defense industry.
Minister Hajdinjak expressed his willingness to deepen and expand bilateral cooperation in the field of defense, as well as to continue Slovenia’s contribution to Kosovo’s security through its participation in the KFOR mission.
The deepening and expansion of cooperation between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Slovenia in the field of defense is of particular importance, taking into account the role of the Republic of Slovenia as a member state of NATO and the European Union, as well as its continued support for the Republic of Kosovo.
