The ceremony was held at the "Adem Jashari" Barracks in Pristina, in which the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, the Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, the Commander-in-Chief of the KSF, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, Deputy Minister Shemsi Syla, Director of NALT, General Joachim Hoppe, officials and other senior officers as well as military and diplomatic representatives of partner countries, with a mission in our country.
The visit of President Osmani began with the inspection of the military capacities of the KSF, exposed to the public, where in the speech addressed to the media, she thanked the commander of the KSF, General Jashar, and each soldier for the extraordinary work, for their readiness in carrying out success of the sacred mission that the KSF has, in defense of the country.
"We are here to see up close the dedication, commitment and, above all, the willingness to do everything for the country of the girls and boys of our army, therefore we bow before their work and dedication", said President Osmani, adding that
KSF is continuing the transition period with great success, bearing in mind that the strategic orientation of the Republic of Kosovo as a state is membership in NATO.
The Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj, in his speech emphasized that the centuries-old dream is being fulfilled every day, through our army, whose capacities are constantly being raised, through our girls and boys who wear the uniform with nobility, pride and iron will. whose emblem means a lot to us.
"We have come a long way for what will remain a legacy between generations, army, nation and freedom, even more than within our territorial and state space, because our goals are to cooperate in the European family and in NATO, for the peace that must prevail everywhere the globe, for the universal freedom of humanity", said Minister Mehaj at this ceremony.
Meanwhile, the commander of the KSF, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, congratulated all the military and civilian personnel of the KSF on the Day of the Force.
"Thanking each member for their commitment and service to the country, today together we celebrate the achievements and successes of the KSF, and thus honor the sacrifice of the people over the generations", emphasized General Jashari.
As guest of honor on this festive day was Rifat Jashari, who together with the President of the country unveiled the portrait of the Legendary Commander, Adem Jashari, made by the artist Faton Kryeziu. From today, this painting will remain in the premises of the General Headquarters of the KSF.
