Ministry of Defence Delegation Conducts Official Visit to the Republic of Albania

A delegation from the Human Resources Directorate of the Ministry of Defence conducted an official visit to the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania in Tirana, with the aim of exchanging experiences and best practices in the field of human resources management.

The Ministry of Defence delegation, led by Colonel Arife Halili and composed of Lieutenant Colonel Shaip Kryeziu, Head of the Recruitment Policy Sector, Fatmir Muqolli, and Lieutenant Colonel Fatlum Demiri, held meetings with their counterparts at the Human Resources Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of the Republic of Albania, headed by Colonel Artan Ajazi; the Personnel Recruitment Center of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania (AFRA), headed by Colonel Fadil Ciroku; and the J1 Directorate of the General Staff of the AFRA, headed by Colonel Nesti Resulaj.

As part of the visit, the delegation also met with senior leaders of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania, including the Deputy Chief of the AFRA, Brigadier General Razije Mehmeti; the Director of the General Staff of the AFRA, Brigadier General Ardian Lilo; the Commander of the Armed Forces Academy, Major General Ferdinant Dimo; and the Deputy Commandant of the Defence and Security College, Colonel Arben Toska.

During the visit, the delegation also met with cadets and members of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) who are pursuing their education and training at the Military Academy and attending career development courses within the Armed Forces of the Republic of Albania.

Throughout the presentations and discussions, the main focus was the exchange of ideas and experiences regarding human resources management processes, with particular emphasis on the recruitment, training, education, development, and professional advancement of military personnel. Discussions also focused on career course programs, inter-institutional cooperation, and opportunities for expanding cooperation.

As part of the visit, the delegation gained first-hand insight into recruitment practices and the organization of recruitment campaigns, including participation in the Career Fair held in Tirana.

Both parties highly appreciated the cooperation achieved to date and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening professional relations and continuing the exchange of best practices.
