Acting Minister of Defense Ejup Maqedonci welcomed today United States Senator Joni Ernst, together with a delegation from the Iowa National Guard led by General Stephen Osborn.
During the meeting, they discussed the partnership between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States of America, as well as the further deepening of cooperation in the field of defense and security.
As a token of appreciation for Senator Ernst’s continued engagement and contribution to strengthening relations between Kosovo and the United States, as well as for her support to the Ministry of Defense and the Kosovo Security Force, Minister Maqedonci awarded Senator Joni Ernst the Distinguished Service Medal.
The partnership with the United States of America and cooperation with the Iowa National Guard remain among the key pillars in the development and strengthening of defense capabilities.
Minister Maqedonci emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo values the friends and partners who have stood by its side and have made significant contributions to strengthening the state and the country’s security. The friendship and partnership with the United States of America remain irreplaceable for Kosovo.
