Minister Maqedonci welcomed the Adjutant General of the Iowa National Guard, Major General Stephen E. Osborn, to whom he expressed his gratitude for his continued commitment and valuable contribution to supporting the Kosovo Security Force, as well as to advancing bilateral cooperation in the field of defense between the Republic of Kosovo and the State of Iowa.
In recognition of his distinguished service, dedication, and contribution to the development and advancement of the Kosovo Security Force’s capabilities, he awarded Major General Osborn the Ministry of Defense’s “Distinguished Service” Medal.
The partnership with the Iowa National Guard has played an important role in the process of transforming, professionalizing, and building the operational capabilities of the KSF. This cooperation constitutes evidence of the strategic partnership and strong relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the United States of America, which remains our principal ally in the development and strengthening of the KSF.
