Initially, Minister Mehaj welcomed General Osborn and informed him about the security situation in the country, the developments within the Ministry of Defense and the work that is being done to achieve the fulfillment of the strategic objectives, which are in full function of the development and the strengthening of our army, with special emphasis on the Comprehensive Transition Plan of the KSF, the progress of preparations for the multinational exercise “Defender Europe '23”, amendments to the legislation of the MoD, etc.
In this meeting, Minister Mehaj and General Osborne emphasized that they are committed to deepening the partnership from which both countries benefit.
From his part, General Osborne emphasized that the partnership with Iowa will be more and more powerful and that the advisory support will also continue in the implementation of the ten-year plan of the KSF, so that the Kosovo Security Force is an army professional interoperable with the armies of NATO countries, capable of maintaining peace in the country, region and beyond.
