On the anniversary of the birth of our national hero, Ilir Konushevci, the Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, paid tribute and laid flowers at his bust in the “Adem Jashari” Barracks in Prishtina, honoring the life, work, and sacrifice of one of Kosovo’s most distinguished heroes.
Ilir Konushevci was among the founders of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) and one of the key figures in organizing the struggle for freedom. Through his dedication, courage, and patriotism, he made an extraordinary contribution to our people’s journey toward liberation.
His legacy remains an inspiration to present and future generations, demonstrating that freedom is a value that is earned and protected through sacrifice.
As we remember Ilir Konushevci on his birthday, we express our deepest gratitude and respect for his immortal legacy.
