During the meeting, the current security developments, the development of the Kosovo Security Force, and the contribution of the Republic of Kosovo to regional and global security were discussed.
Also, he emphasized the strategic aim of the Republic of Kosovo for membership in the European Union and NATO, underlining the importance that these processes have, not only for the overall development of the country, but also for the strengthening of stability and security in the region.
Furthermore, Minister Maqedonci informed the delegation of the NATO Military Union Committee on the strategic objectives of the Ministry of Defense for the next four years, which are focused on the further development of the capacities of the KSF, the implementation of comprehensive defense, the development of the defense industry, international cooperation, and sustainability.
“Membership of Kosovo in the Euro-Atlantic structures constitutes a natural and necessary step, contributing to sustainable peace, enhanced international cooperation, and a stronger security architecture in Europe,” among others, Minister Maqedonci stated.
