Kosovo Participates in the Meeting of Defense Policy Directors within the Adriatic Charter

The Director for Defense Policy at the Ministry of Defense, Faruk Geci, participated in the Adriatic Charter–United States (A5) meeting, held in Šibenik, Croatia.

The meeting addressed topics related to regional security, hybrid threats, economic and energy challenges, Euro-Atlantic integration, and opportunities for cooperation among member and observer.

As part of the discussions, Director Faruk Geci presented three concrete proposals: the exchange of experiences on protecting critical infrastructure from hybrid threats; the organization of a regional tabletop exercise in 2027, with the participation of member and observer countries; and the expansion of joint training in search and rescue, medical support, and demining. The Director requested that the issue of Kosovo’s full membership in the A5 be included on the agenda of the meetings of the Ministers of Defense and Foreign Affairs, scheduled to be held at the end of this year.
