In this meeting, they discussed various topics of particular importance, such as the progress of the KSF, the role of the Republic of Kosovo in maintaining stability in the Western Balkans and the attitude of the government in the current geopolitical situation, the war in Ukraine, etc.
On this occasion, Fr. Baker expressed high appreciation for the approach and contribution of the Republic of Kosovo, especially in the evacuation of Afghan refugees and the willingness to train and accept Ukrainian refugees.
Also, it was discussed about the needs of the KSF regarding the supply of weapons, as well as the readiness that as a state and army we have to cooperate at every level, because as Minister Mehaj stressed: “the internal development but also the overall stability of the States depends on the degree of cooperation”.
” The Republic of Kosovo is connected with the United States of America and with every NATO member state that believes in democratic values and in the freedom of nations", Minister Mehaj further said, adding that the attitude of the Republic of Kosovo and the progress that KSF has achieved with the implementation of the General transition plan, but also central governance in general, make the state of Kosovo perceived as a reliable ally of the US and a key state in maintaining peace and security in the Balkan region.
