The soldiers from non-majority communities who joined as of today the Kosovo Security Force, were trained at the Basic Training Center within the Doctrine and Training Command in (TRADOC) Ferizaj, where they learned basic military skills in order to be ready to serve the country.
At this ceremony, the Deputy Minster of Defense, Gegë Lleshi, was in attendance, as well as the Commander of the TRADOC, Brigadier General Jeton Dreshaj, senior officials and military personnel of the MoD and the KSF, as well as family members and friends of the recruits.
On this occasion, Deputy Minister Gegë Lleshi congratulated the new soldiers, emphasizing the importance of their dedication and willingness to serve the homeland. He emphasized that Kosovo and the KSF mark a special achievement that demonstrates the commitment to the integration of non-majority communities into security institutions.
Furthermore, he stated that 36 new soldiers from these communities join the KSF, serving the homeland with honor, pride, and responsibility. Meanwhile, General Dreshaj stated that these soldiers have demonstrated determination to serve the country and its citizens, contributing to peace, security, and territorial integrity. The certification of the recruits at this ceremony demonstrated the commitment of the KSF to building a modern, professional, and multiethnic army, based on the principles of inclusiveness and cooperation.
