As part of an official visit to Portugal, the Director of the Department for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Defense, Colonel Ahmet Ajeti, participated in activities organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Lisbon on the occasion of the anniversary of the Liberation of Kosovo.
During his stay, Colonel Ahmet Ajeti engaged in series of commemorative activities and official meetings, with the aim of honoring the contribution of the international community to peace in Kosovo, as well as advancing military cooperation between the Kosovo Security Force and the Portuguese Army.
At the Military Museum in Lisbon, a photographic exhibition dedicated to the service of Portuguese soldiers in Kosovo was opened. Diplomats and senior local military officials attended the event, and during the ceremony and speeches, Portugal’s contribution to maintaining peace and security in Kosovo was highly appreciated.
Subsequently, Colonel Ajeti joined Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Portugal, Edona Maloku Bërdyna, and they laid a wreath at the Memorial of the Warriors to honor the Portuguese soldier who lost his life during his service in our country.
Furthermore, during this visit, Colonel Ajeti held a bilateral meeting with Colonel Simões de Azevedo, Chief of the Cooperation Division of the Portuguese Army. During the meeting, practical steps for advancing bilateral military relations were discussed.
