On the anniversary of Kosovo Liberation Day, the Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, participated in the ceremony honoring Commander Adem Shehu with the “Order of Freedom”, a decoration awarded by the Acting President, Albulena Haxhiu.
On this occasion, Minister Maqedonci highly praised Commander Adem Shehu’s contribution to the liberation war, emphasizing his important role in the formation and leadership of the fighters of the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA), as well as his unwavering dedication to the national cause.
As Commander of the 153rd Brigade of the Llap Operational Zone, Adem Shehu made an extraordinary contribution to the organization of the war, the protection of the civilian population, and the battles for the freedom of Kosovo. Having come from southern Albania to join the liberation struggle, he remains an example of sacrifice, patriotism, and devotion to the nation.
Minister Maqedonci emphasized that the award of the “Order of Freedom” constitutes a well-deserved recognition for a commander and fighter who dedicated his life to the freedom and liberation of Kosovo.
