The Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, received in a meeting the Deputy Director for Partnership, Security Cooperation and Weapons of Mass Destruction at the United States European Command, Chris A. McKinney.
During the meeting, discussions were held regarding the security environment in the country and beyond, as well as the advancement of the country’s defense capacities, military exercises, and the development of the defense industry. In this regard, the irreplaceable role of the United States of America as Kosovo’s strategic partner was highly appreciated, in the continuous support for strengthening the country’s defense and security capacities.
Brigadier General McKinney appreciated the progress achieved in developing the defense industry as well as in implementing strategic projects advancing the defense sector.
The parties emphasized their commitment to deepen cooperation, build mutual trust in order to strengthen the country’s military capacities, and advance Euro-Atlantic integration.
