Minister Maqedonci Received International Students of the ETH Zürich Master’s Program

The Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, today received master’s-level students from various countries around the world who are attending the International and Comparative Studies Program at ETH Zürich.

The students’ visit to Kosovo comes during a special week for our country, when commemorative activities are being held marking the 148th anniversary of the Albanian League of Prizren, one of the most significant events in the history of the political and national organization of Albanians.

During the meeting, Minister Maqedonci discussed Kosovo’s journey from its historical efforts for freedom to the establishment of modern security and defense institutions, including the Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) war and the transition of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF). He also spoke about current developments in the field of defense, the impact of new technologies, and the role of artificial intelligence in national security.

The students and the Minister exchanged views on security challenges in the region, partnerships with our allies, cooperation with NATO, and Kosovo’s path toward Euro-Atlantic integration.

Minister Maqedonci thanked the students for their interest, insightful questions, and constructive discussion, emphasizing the importance of such academic exchanges as evidence of the growing international attention toward Kosovo, its democratic development, and its role in the security architecture of Europe.
