The Acting Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, received in a meeting the Acting President of the Republic of Kosovo, Albulena Haxhiu, where they reaffirmed the institutional commitment to strengthening defense capacities and advancing the international subjectivity of the Republic of Kosovo.
During the meeting, Minister Maqedonci presented the achievements during the mandate, highlighting the quadrupling of investments in defense, the doubling of the number of soldiers, as well as the expansion of opportunities for the education of KSF officers in the most prestigious military academies in the world.
Likewise, discussions were held regarding the security situation, Kosovo’s contribution to global security, support for Ukraine, the humanitarian deployment in Gaza, as well as the strategic aspirations for NATO membership.
The interlocutors confirmed that sustainability, the development of comprehensive defense, and the advancement of the defense industry remain strategic priorities for the Republic of Kosovo.
