The Search and Rescue teams of the Kosovo security Force during operation of search and rescue have shown professionalism, commitment and high performance which resulted in saving lives of four citizens of Republic of Turkey.
To congratulate for contribution, commitment and success shown during this operation, at the Pristina International Airport today were: the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti, Minister of Defense, Mr. Armend Mehaj together with the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, the Commander of the National Guard, Brigadier General Naim Haziri, the Ambassador of Turkey in Kosovo, KSF officers, and the contingent from Turkey serving in Kosovo as well as family of the members.
On this occasion, the Commander of the Kosovo Security Force rewarded the members who returned from Turkey with the “Save Lives” motivation.
The Prime Minister of Kosovo Mr. Albin Kurti greeted and thanked the participants for their selfless commitment during these two weeks in Turkey and added, among other things, “it is our humanitarian obligation to help people in need and it is our duty to support our partners when they need our help, Our help given to Turkey in this difficult time has only extended our relations with the Republic of Turkey to an even higher level.”
While the Commander of the KSF, General Jashari met closely the members of the KSF, in which case he thanked them and added that he is proud of the commitment and contribution of the boys and girls of the KSF, who gave everything of themselves to save lives during the rescue operation in Turkey.
After the decision taken by the state institutions of the Republic of Kosovo and in coordination with the authorities of the Republic of Turkey, the KSF Contingent was deployed on the same day in the areas affected by the earthquake, offering the professional capacities of the Kosovo Security Force Units (Urban Rescue Search, K9, and Emergency Medicine) to help the Republic of Turkey cope with this tragedy as easily as possible.
