They were received by the Chief of Staff of the KSF, Brigadier General Jeton Dreshaj, accompanied by the Deputy Commander of the KDS, Colonel Mehmet Lladrofci. General Dreshaj greeted those present on behalf of the Commander of the KSF, Lieutenant General Bashkim Jashari, who is on an official visit to the USA together with the Minister of Defense, Mr. Armend Mehaj.
On this occasion, General Dreshaj presented to the audience the vision and achievements of the Kosovo Security Force, and discussed the challenges and threats in the region and beyond, as well as the achievements of the KSF based on the 10-year transition plan, the creation of defense capacities with the new mandate of the KSF.
They were also informed about the capacities offered by the Doctrine and Training Command, where the chief of staff, Lt. Col. Arsim Shaqiri, presented the mission and structure, courses and trainings, plans for the future, bilateral cooperation with partner countries that are helping to raise capacities of KDS.
The attendees had the opportunity to see some of the exercises that are being carried out at KDS.
