Open Day in the KSF for International Children's Day

 As part of the celebration of June 1st - the International Children's Day, today the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff of the KSF, organized the Open Day in the KSF barracks with the reception of students from some primary and lower secondary schools in the country. The reception was organized in the KSF barracks in Prishtina, Prizren, Istog, Gjilan, Mitrovica and Ferizaj. In the premises of the barracks “Adem Jashari” they met the Minister of Defense, Armend Mehaj accompanied by the Commander of the KSF, LTG.Rrahman Rama. On this occasion, Minister Mehaj, welcomed the students and their accompanying pedagogical staff with the best wishes for their day, emphasizing that the mission of the KSF is to protect the country and guarantee a safe environment for you and your families.In addition, Minister Mehaj pointed out importance of the basic knowledge in the defense and security field from threats and natural risks, technological one and the one caused by a human being that can be planned in frame of education system of the country including the subject of security and defense at the secondary lower and high schools. In the following from the KSF authorized militaries, students –visitors are informed with external and internal spaces of the KSF such as administrative working conditions, classroom, operational work, ranges and tactical training areas, rooms and premises for sports activities, recreation and rest; supplying logistic capacities, transport, maintenance as well some capacities of military equipment and machinery. In the following, the KSF Ceremonial Platoon, in front of them demonstrated selected points of the military ceremonial drill. Students, also through video –projectors watched a documentary in which are presented activities, trainings, and operations of the KSF Units. At the end, the students by expressing their great interest for the KSF had many questions to them.
