Minister of KSF, Haki Demolli hosted Dr. Evelyn Farkas Dep/Assistant of Defense Secretary of USA

Minister of KSF, Haki Demolli,yesterday in the afternoon hosted Dr.Evelyn Farkas Dep/Assistant of Defense Secretary of USA. On behalf of Ministry of KSF , Government and people of Kosovo extended gratitude and thanked Department of Defense and USA for given assistant and wider and intensive cooperation. Minister Demolli informed Mrs.Farkas on areas and scales of cooperation between Department of Defense, USA Army with MKSF and KSF. He highly appreciated this cooperation mentioning “Partnership for Peace” that KSF has with IOWA`s National Guard. The areas of cooperation are too many like; various program and projects , training , education , funding , materials funding as contribution via advising teams in a very significant areas. On this occasion, Minister Demolli informed the guest from USA, also with regional and bilateral cooperation area with all countries which show readiness up to joint exercises and other areas of cooperation with mutual interest. Also, he assessed participation of MKSF and KSF in security regional initiatives with wish to give much more contribution in strengthening common security. Important issue was informing Dr. Farkas even with the process of KSF transformation into Kosovo Armed Forces and current challenges linked to constitutional procedures and Assembly for approval of amendments concerning this transformation and proceeding of draft-law for transformation of KSF into KAF. On his speech Commander of KSF Lt. Gen informed Mrs. Farkas with KSF achievements, with process of preparation for transformation particularly in areas dealt with political decision in order to be much more ready when this process occurs and for that reason we have established Department of Transformation.
On this occasion, Dr. Farkas expressed her pleasure with KSF developments in KSF with work done related to preparation for transformation and wide scale of multilateral cooperation, correct and constructive ones mentioning Partnership for Peace (PpP) can be moving forward towards cooperation with NATO. It`s important for you to keep working for moving forward agenda of transformation which will open ways and bigger opportunities in bilateral and multilateral plan.
Attended meeting expect Minister of KSF, Haki Demolli; Dep/Minister KSF, Fadil Gashi Dep/Minister KSF ,Muhamet Latifi, COMKSF , Lt.Gen. Rrahman Rama, Brigadier General ,Zymer Halimi – Director of Directorate for Operation in MKSF,– Chief of Minister’s Cabinet, Xhevdet Halili , Director of Department for Cooperation and Security Col. Ilir Qeriqi - and Major Berat Shala – COMKSF Assistant.
On his side, Dr. Evelin Farkas was accompanied by; Brigadier General William Hall – from Joint European Command, LTC. Jacob Candelaria- Joint European Command , Melissa Hanlon – Office of Defense Secretary ,Shawn Crowley – Advisor to Political and Economic issues from USA Embassy in Pristine, Col. (Anthony Butts, Defense Attaché to USA Embassy in Pristine , Major Juan Murillo , Military Attaché to USA Embassy in Pristine and Major Adam Giroux from ODC to USA Embassy in Pristine.
